Open day report
Published:
September was the date for the second herd inspection along with an open day at Kirkby to see cows, young stock and Robots in action. We were pleased to receive so many visitors from over the Irish Sea as well as from all around the UK . After coffee and a few words of welcome off we all trouped, brochure in hand to see the cows grazing and wandering back at will to be milked. (Sorry we ran out of herd brochures and had to share!) There were representatives from Fullwood and our local Dairy supplier on site to answer questions about Robotic Milking and also representatives from Genus and Cogent. We enjoyed a hog roast lunch cooked by Trevor and Don followed by Ringswood Ice Cream (DWG Dalby & Sons) and a huge selection of cakes provided by the younger Griffin Ladies. Later in the day we also had children from local schools who helped us polish off the ice cream and the cakes!!
